Kit Spotlight: Equinox Fusion 260ZR MKII

30 September 2026 · 3 min read

If you’re looking for a versatile moving-head wash that can add colour, movement and plenty of impact to a production, the Equinox Fusion 260ZR MKII is a great fixture to have in the rig.

With 19 RGBW LEDs, a wide motorised zoom range and smooth movement, it’s a particularly useful fixture for stages, school productions, live events and parties.

A powerful wash

The Fusion 260ZR MKII uses 19 × 12W RGBW quad-colour LEDs, giving you a huge range of colours from soft pastels through to bold, saturated colours.

The LEDs are arranged in three concentric rings, which also opens up some interesting possibilities for colour chases and pixel effects.

It’s a wash fixture, so rather than projecting gobos or creating a hard-edged spot, it’s designed to give you broad, colourful coverage across people, scenery and spaces.

A really useful zoom range

One of the things we particularly like about the Fusion 260ZR MKII is its 6°–50° motorised zoom.

At the narrow end, you can create a much tighter beam effect. Open it right up and you can cover a much larger area with colour.

That makes it useful in all sorts of venues. You can use the same fixture for a more concentrated stage effect or open the beam out to wash a larger section of a school hall, stage or dance floor.

Great for school productions

For school productions, moving-head washes can add a huge amount of flexibility to your lighting.

Use them to change the colour and atmosphere between scenes, highlight different areas of the stage or create movement during musical numbers.

They’re also useful when you want to make a relatively simple lighting rig feel much more dynamic.

A few well-positioned Fusion 260ZR MKIIs can give you plenty of options without needing a huge collection of different fixtures.

Pixel effects

The three-ring LED layout isn’t just for looks.

The Fusion 260ZR MKII features pixel zone mapping, allowing different sections of the fixture to be controlled independently.

This gives you the option to create colour chases and other dynamic effects rather than simply having the entire fixture output one colour.

It’s particularly effective when you have several fixtures working together.

Smooth and quiet

The MKII version brings improvements to both movement and operation.

It features smoother pan and tilt movement, improved dimming and temperature-controlled fans designed to keep operating noise down.

That makes it a particularly useful option for theatre and school productions, where noisy fixtures can be distracting during quieter moments.

Easy to integrate into a rig

The Fusion 260ZR MKII can be controlled via DMX, with 2, 8, 17 or 25-channel modes, giving you options depending on how much control you need.

It also supports auto, sound-active and master/slave modes, making it suitable for anything from a fully programmed lighting show to a simpler setup.

Why we’ve got them in our hire stock

For us, the Fusion 260ZR MKII is all about flexibility.

It’s a powerful wash, has a genuinely useful zoom range, offers plenty of colour options and can create movement and effects without being overly complicated.

Whether you’re lighting a school musical, a live band, an awards ceremony or a party, they’re a great way to add another dimension to your lighting rig.
